Deciding which beauty program is right for you depends on a few different factors. While barbers can perform services on people of any gender, they typically specialize in men’s grooming and styling. Cosmetologists learn a wide variety of beauty services, which could include makeup application, nail services, and specialized styling for women’s hair. The barbering program at our school is also shorter than our cosmetology program, so students could complete it in less time. If you have further questions about each of our programs, contact us, and we can talk about it.
If you are a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Idaho, we can accept 800 transfer hours toward our barbering program. This allows you to complete the remaining 100 hours to finish your barber training, which prepares you to sit for the State Exam.
